Vicki Bennett ArtVicki has been an artist from early childhood, working in acrylics on canvas. Her paintings are vibrant and energetic, and essentially abstract. 'Using my creative talent is about doing what excites me, opening my heart in all my dealings with others, being brave, living in the moment and detaching from expectation.' Peregian Dreaming was her first major exhibition in 1998 depicting the beautiful coastline of Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Surrender to Love, exhibited in 2004, was her second major exhibition. This is a series of passionate, vigorous paintings expressing the journey of letting go of control and experiencing love in the moment. Flashes of Gold is Vicki's third major exhibition, in March 2008. This is a series of dynamic, compelling, powerful paintings capturing the essence of the universal characteristic of 'having a go'; of how every one of us has the ability to connect to our own flash of brilliance. This Exhibition included eight Rowing Your Heart Out pieces. Vicki has been an enthusiastic rower for 10 years and has a deep, enduring respect and love of the Brisbane River in Queensland. In these paintings she has sought to capture the thrill and privilege of this beautiful, uncommon river. Vicki is frequently commissioned to do works for business and personal collections throughout Australia and overseas.
