Recently I was asked to speak with a small group of people about starting their memory books. Glenys wants to put together a pictorial story of her husband’s life. Colin wants to update his memory book to include a brother and sister who he has just discovered. Therese wants to trace her memories back to Ireland and add them to the Australian branch. Libby has just finished compiling a memory book of her parent’s farm and would like to extend it to include her family. Mary wants to write her personal story. (more…)

Creativity and Intuition are Best Friends

One thing I’ve discovered about creativity is that it’s best mates with intuition. To enter my creative space, I let go of what I should do and tune into what could I do, this is my imaginative, intuitive self.

My intuition works best when I need to make a decision or when something has happened that doesn’t feel right. I usually find when things aren’t right, warning bells ring in my head, or sometimes I have a general feeling of discomfort. I have to be alert to this because this feeling is my intuition and it is GOLD. (more…)

What the Bleep is Creativity?

Creativity starts with an idea, a spark in the subconscious mind.  If you let it marinate, it gains more shape.  Then if you write it down and figure out what action to take, it really gains momentum.

But let’s start at the beginning. Everybody has an imagination. We use our imagination to make things up and play games. We also use it to achieve goals. (more…)
